How can I play Evangelion 64 with the GFX Menu?

You should use 1964 v 0.8.5 or Pj64 v 1.5 with Jabo's D3D6 graphic plugin.

i just downloaded this game and i can't get it working either. all i get is a blank screen with music in the background. where can i get that film from Crix?

Please check your rom with goodn64 to see if it is a good dump.

Check out the "utilities for roms" at NeSC (http://www.smiff.clara.net/) if you don't know how.

the game works its just rather buggy, first of all you load it up and its blank and you can hear music. so i just keep pressing start or a randomly until you can hear something is happening, then after about a couple of the minutes you can see the game being played and its fine from there. its rather strange but at least it works.

I don't know what's you problem but with the configuration I specified, the game is fully playable (some liltle bugs but 2D + 3D graphics are OK)

You MUST use Jabo's D3D6 Plugin 1.5 or 1964 0.85. Download PJ64 1.5 and use the DirectX 6 Plugin.

And it shows everything!

It´s possible that you still need to patch the ROM, go to http:___//www.evangelion.tv/Multi/Files/files1.html and download the N64 Eva crack and "applicant patches", it´s should work fine afterwards.

The game works for me, BUT in certain parts, part of an image is flipped.

Also in the Magma diver Mission, when I lock on and I then have to input C-buttons to contiune there are no C-buttons. That part is when I use 1964, when I use PJ64 the controls for some reason start to not accepted by the emulator.

This thread is nearly 5 years old, I don't think you have to use the crack anymore... just try different gfx plugins and it should solve your problem.
E.g. mudlords rice build or glide wonder.

Okay thanks. I just want this game to work. Probably the on of the best games I've ever played.

I still have problems with the image flipping.

Jabo's D3D 8 1.6 works just fine.... there are some core errors which can be continued through.

Also one more thing. How come there are lines in certain parts of the game?
