where can i find the pentium3 microcodes at?

You don't need "p3 microcodes" to update the bios, because AFAIK, the p3 has no microcode :-".

You need to identify your motherboard manufacturer and model, go to the the manufacturer's website, download the required stuff and CAREFULLY READ THE INSTRUCTIONS.

Since you don't know what you are talking about, I'll advise you to let someone else do that for you, because you can easilly break the motherboard by updating the bios, if you don't do exactly what's required.

Uhhhh Sorry P3's do have microcode.. now you need to know what microcode is .. microcode is not the code that is executed in the bios.. microcode is the program inside the processor which executes the instructions themselves. CISC processors have programs inside them that read instructions and execute them. The 386 and 486 etc. have micro engines inside them that perform this function. Microcode.. you will never see technically or ever be able to program in. This is an integral part of the processor that's a mask rom in the processor itself.

RISC almost never use microcode inside them because they are kept simple enough that it's not necessary.

Now, at last, I know what a microcode is :) (I never looked for it very far I admit, although I was wondering what it was, because the n64 sound and video plugins hle them.)

I knew this ~architectural diffenrence between RISC and CISC processors, but I didn't know the right word to tell it.
