For those who aren't familiar with KoolSmokey (http://www.3dfxzone.it/koolsmoky/) and his work with the Voodoo cards well I'm putting this here because it's more programing related (It refers to source code).

1: Kool Smokey is maintaining the glide
3dfx driver (http://www.3dfxzone.it/koolsmoky/glide.html) for Win2K and winXP.

2: Kool Smokey has a newer (AKA more compatible) OGL Driver (http://www.3dfxzone.it/koolsmoky/oglicd.html) for 3dfx cards.

3: A 3dfx Hardware (http://www.3dfxzone.it/koolsmoky/vctrl.html) tweaker.

4: And a Win32 windows driver (http://www.3dfxzone.it/koolsmoky/3dfxvs.html) for 3dfx cards as well.

What has this to do with programing?

Well the glide drivers come with source ;)

Actually you will need VC++6.0 to compile the source. The OGL source code I don't see available and he has ceased releasing drivers, my guess is it's based on the MESA GL source and uses the GLIDE source for information about directly manipulating the 3dfx cards. I know I'm going to be examining the GLIDE source myself.

I've yet to try the OGL drivers as well, caveat empor as the saying goes.

I thought other people might find his new site helpful and information.
