  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
    We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
    Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

    If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
    Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
    If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
    RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

A bit of an update.The numeric HUD just added!
Next goal the complete HUD.

It would be nice if you could add it to your to do list! (I can send you original dumps).

I worked on font redesign (see my thread) ; our textures are complementary! :D

I love your work on the font, it is super accurate.What software did you use?

My goal is further texture replacement.It is very time consuming though.

Take a sneak peak at what will follow when the HUD is finally done.

Thank you! I tried to stay as faithful as possible to the original. I just redrawn each char with Inkscape.

Finally I've completed the HUD . The next thing to be retextured is the cap blocks ,the coins and the power ups.

It's amazing that nintendo still haven't made a high definition version of this game, they would had made a ridicilious amount of money.

Hi Teaufou,

thank you for your will to contribute to this project.Maybe I could use a few textures to save me some time and to be more specific ,I could use the dialogue font.I have already start working on the castle and the 1st course textures.In fact I have some textures finished.
How did you manage to import the sky texture?I am having a struggle on this.

Skyboxes on N64 are dumbs cause textures are limited to 64x64 pixel maximum. So, you need to recreate the good texture atlas (I wish you like puzzles) with an overlap of one pixel on each side due to le N64 texture blur renderer.

I prepare a clean archive to send, you'll see the principle of skyboxes.
