Aside from packaged ROMs (illegal) and booting from a DVD (what exactly would be the advantage to that?) I see nothing on that list that is beyond the abilities of most current N64 emulators. Why re-invent the wheel if you're not going to do anything original?

your answers

well because it would boot from a dvd it would save alot of room on pc and it would have all the N64 roms it would be pretty cool to have that so that anyone could just download ISO and burn and then insert disc and play there classic games.

as for the other guy that said what?
Well I could Pm everyone that help a link with all the emulators i have=over 1000
for most consoles here are the consoles i have:
*gameboy (578)
*n64 (100 currently)

anyways thats all i could think of right now so if anyone helps me i will send them a link with all this to download from so thats what you get oh and it might just be on a FTP server so that you could choose what you want ;) later.

oh some plz answer my yoshi question

Sorry to intrude on this thread, but I have a question:

Why boot from a DVD? Most modern Computers have above the 120, and 250 Gigabyte capacity, and some even in the terabyte range, which is more than enough space for most if not all modern PC games, as well a N64 games and such.

I see no other reasoning other than portability, like if you went to a friends house you can just take all the games on a neat DVD. Personally I see a flash drive better suited for this purpose.

Not only that, but you waltz here into this forum, without explaining what experience you have with coding or coding an emulator in general.

Coding an emulator is not an easy thing, especially since it requires a lot of information about the hardware you are trying to emulate, as well as proficient experience in coding, and translate opcode, CPU Calls or such in to a software based program.

Emulation is not a simple thing, and requires a lot of experience in coding and hardware. It is not recommended for beginners or people unexperienced in coding to try to program an emulators, as it will tend to create problem, and have you banging your head against the wall because of not understanding it.

It is recommended to first learn how to code, and learn it well specifically C++ or C#, Start out making simple apps, work your way up to more advanced applications, Learn DirectX or OpenGl and how to make a DirectX or Opengl window, again work up to more advanced tasks or projects.

Then after you feel you've learned enough and are comfortable to start making an emulator, start out by coding a Chip8 Emulator. This is Recommended for beginners in the emulation community to start out with. As soon as you mastered that, try and program an Nes emulator and or an Snes emulator, and work your way up to an N64 emulator, learning about the hardware and studying available documentation as you go along.

So basically start out small and work your way up to more complicated projects/tasks ;)

Dude, come on...
First, you can put all your games on storage media such as DVDs, but the emulator can be on the HD. You'll gain a lot of space that way.
But an emulator? Come on. Do you have any idea how complicated it is? You don't just ask people to round up before you to create an ultimate, flawless emulator. That's not going to happen. Look at PJ is today. How long time do you think it has taken? Well, a lot.

Oh and providing roms is against the rules.
Read them properly before venturing into trouble.
