    Talking Oz game prices?

Just a quick question, to all our Australian members. How much do videogames cost in Oz? I ask as my missus is on her way there on Wednesday, and I need to know if they're cheap enough for me to give her a list or not, seeing as you share our humble PAL format.

    So, uh, let me know.

Well console games come out at about A$100 but by shopping round you can pick em up as low as $80. GBA games are aound the $50 mark and pc games range from 50 to 100

Well, firstly the exchange rate is really low at the moment, so I guess that helps. And the thing is that the price of games in Australia hasn't actually risen for at least 10 years. I'm 17 now, and when I first had my sega master system, at around 7, games were $100 then. 10 years on and new release console games are still $100, I'm not sure if this has been the same for the rest of the world. I have a feeling that games will stay at $100 for quite awhile as well, there will probably be an outcry is prices are increased
Life is good. And I feel great. Coz mother says I was, a great mistake.

"In an unprecedented move Electronic Arts, today announced they would be aggressively reducing the price of their Nintendo GameCube software titles in Australia ahead of the peak Christmas season.

Effective immediately Electronic Arts are leading the industry in establishing new, lower, local pricing for Nintendo GameCube Software. Electronic Arts wide range of top-selling titles for the GameCube will now be available at prices starting as low as $39.95 making the EA games including the new James Bond 007: Nightfire, Medal of Honor: Frontline, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 and FIFA 2003 more affordable than ever."
