Mouse problems

Hey all
i got a mouse problem
sometimes when i open a game the mouse freezes at where it stopped
this happens alot in pj64 and nhl2002 sometimes but rarely in ut2k3
wat could be causin this problem
am usin the default dx that came with xp
and i also changed the mouse but the same problem kept hapening
my specs :
p4 1.7
tnt2 m64 32 megs
256 ram

Try getting a USB to P/S2 coverter for your mouse... it shouldn't cost you much, and logitech optical mouses come with them.

have u tried diff mice and they do same.. hmm
maybe could u try a ps2 mouse and what happend? perphaps ur pc is slow but dont thing so.. maybe its a compatibility prob.. did just intalled a new hardware? like a new keyboard or something...

is it a problem wiht my usb or somethin coz i had 2 mouses and the same problem
and y especially when i try playin a game

i did try another mouse one optical and other microsoft normal one , but i didn't try a ps2 mouse and wat does that have to do with freezin in games

You said that it might be a usb problem, try a different mouse that doesn't use usb. It might just be a hardware compatibility problem.
