i went to the computer fair today and i saw wat seemed like an amazing deal. the nforce board by ledtek and a ledtek geforce 4 ti4200 128meg and a 2.0ghz processor for £295. it was part of the bundle, where the processor is the only accessory, but it is discounted slightly.

the board i think is this: http://www.leadtek.com/motherboards/...a/k7n420da.htm

and the card is this one :

does this look like a good deal at all, i havnt really looked at hardware prices for a while?

Well I just baught a Leadtek GeForce4 TI4200 128MB DDR card on the net for £140. I think you can get it for around £130 now. Prices go down fast. But anyway I think you can get a P4 2GHz for around £180 so that deal you have seen seems ace.

Anyway the PC hardware site that I use the most is http://www.ebuyer.com It has a great site layout and good prices too.

Another site that I use to compare prices with but not baught anything from is http://www.overclockers.co.uk

    Check them out.

Well at the time of me buying my GeForce4 TI4200 (just over a week and a half ago), the Leadtek (good brand) TI4200 64MB DDR was £120 ish, where the 128MB version was £144. I went for the 128MB version to keep my card a little more future proof. I think the card I baught is down to £140 now.

aparently the 64meg card is clocked faster, so fps wise, the 64 meg card is apparently at least level with 128 card. obviously, im guessing when it comes to higher resolutions and large textures, the extra ram is useful.
