Number posts, why ????

Hi,

I looked for the "number of posts" forum and couldn't find it, so I'm posting it here, and you if you wanna move it then you can (obviously).


Why do the number of posts get counted for ?

I don't understand exactly what it's supposed to show or prove.

It can't be a way of indicating that a person with more posts is going to be the person with the correct answer to a problem, cos I could post 1 million posts of utter crap ( like this one for example, hehe)and still not have half the understanding of an emulator than a lot of people here.



What I'm basically saying , is that there must be a reason for the post counts,

so what is it ????

In fact, while you're answering this, you can also tell me why I should pronounce foreigners names differently than they're spelt.
For example the french name "jean", apparantly pronounced "shon".

YOUR NAME IS PRONOUNCED "JEAN" AS IN THE TROUSERS. OR ELSE I'M GONNA INSIST ON MY NAME "JIM", BEING PRONOUNCED "MARLBORO LIGHTS FILTER TIPPED BLOODED TAMPAX'S".

YOU CAN'T FUCK WITH WORDS, NOW FUCK OFF ANYBODY CALLED "JEAN".

I'd say that post counts are to show how active you are.
My post count is 1337 though, but that means something completely different.
