Well, since the sources for the Glide drivers have been released, wouldn't it be possible to add functions to the Glide libraries themselves? I dunno what the cards themselves are capable of, but you might be able to get something that way.

Add functions to Glide isn't too much difficult using extensions, problems appears when you must use an especific version of glide for glide64, and this version must be compiled for different cards and tested for all cards...
