Grey screen (no picture) when running game on NVIDA processor

I can run the program fine with the integrated card on my laptop. however, i want to use my NVIDA graphics processor so i can up the internal resolution, use vsync, etc. however, when i run the Demul with NVIDA, there is no picture, just a grey screen. The emulator is running, I still get sound and it responds to my controller inputs. The only issue is that there is no picture. Any ideas?
