Project 64 Using ALL 16GB of RAM

I guess I haven't tried other games yet, but I'm playing Diddy Kong Racing and after 2 or 3 minutes of playing my RAM usage goes from 2gb to 16gb. Then I have to alt-enter out to get the computer to respond... everthing of course hangs because the RAM is maxed and then the harddrive gets maxed out as it tries to move data from RAM to the page file...

Anyway, I know this is wrong, so is there some setting somewhere that makes causes this memory problem?

What version of Project64 are you using and which plugin? Operating system?

Hey I should have put more info in my post, sorry!!

Project 64 version 2.2.0.3
I didn't change any plugins, so... Jabo's Direct3D8 1.7.0.57-ver5
I'm on Windows 10 64-bit.
My laptop has an integrated Intel graphics thing, and then an NVidia M GPU. I'm not sure which GPU P64 is using, but I can change that in my settings.

I did try some other games (Mario Cart, Star Fox) and they did the same thing... maxing out the RAM after a few minutes.

I guess I'll go ahead and try the other graphics plugin.

Oh, and I should mention I'm playing multiplayer. I don't know if that matters.

Does anything change if you switch to the Glide64 graphics plugin that comes with Project64?
