4-play usb adapter: Something for emulator nuts.

Finlay the video is up. Props to RacketBoy.

Does this simply map the controller buttons to a generic driver, or would it be able to pass data directly, such as with a N64 tranfer pak? Basically, could I use this in place of an Adaptoid?

This adapter will do everything the adaptiod did but it does not use drivers. In order to get the transfer pack working ill need to play with an open source n64 emulator like pj64. Yes this adapter does use a generic driver AKA HID. To communicate with the controller from a computer you would use the force feed back engine. This is explained here.

More to come on this after the project is funded.

Thanks for responding, I think if this were implemented it might garner a bit more interest, since Adaptoids are currently going for around $100 or more whenever they sell on ebay, and that's WHEN they sell on ebay. Could be another nice advertising angle.

Also, ever considered allowing it to use Bluetooth to communicate with the PC? It would be cool to have a Bluetooth hub for wired controllers, again, perhaps a different angle for future sales.

Since the kickstarter fell through again, are there plans to try again or fun it through another avenue?

BT is not on the list yet but it may be possible. We have the means to go forward with the 4-Play. Backers will get alert where to buy first and then it will be announce to the world afterwords. Backers get a deal for helping, its A way to say thanx.
