Want the build of Desmume that includes hi-res? Go nuts:

32-bit build: http://shikaver01.webcrow.jp/desmume_x432r/DeSmuME X432R 2014-03-29-0.zip

64-bit build: http://mudlord.info/temp/DeSmuME_VS2010_x64_release.rar

However, SoftRasterizer is the best option to use at the moment. OpenGL is currently semi-broken with this and seems to only work with some games.

To enable Hi-Res:
1. Start Desmume
2. Go to Config -> High Resolution 3D Renderer, then choose from X2, X3, or X4, you can play with the other settings to your liking
3. ???
4. Profit!

I have tested the emulator on my quad core A8-3530MX 2.3Ghz and it runs slow but the quality of the graphics is unbelievable.

It looks incredible! Now if someone could just force bilinear filtering...

I. AM. SO. HAPPY! \o/

What was it, like a year ago that I wrote this (excuse the shameless plug): http://6bit.net/shonumi/2013/02/25/true-internal-resolution-in-nintendo-ds-emulators/

And I've been dreaming of it since December 2012 or something like that. In fact, that's half the reason I got into making emulators myself (taking emulators beyond what the original hardware could do). No joke guys, I'm shaking right now. This made my year. I'm going to get this running, will post screenshots. Life just got good, I mean real good.

I'm happy that you are excited but I hope that your rig can handle the task.
My quad core A8 has a hard time with emulating at 3x and 4x scale but an I7 might get the job done if you have one.

EDIT:
Before and after.

Does anyone know if the author is going to update x432R to the newest Desmume Revision?
Also more filter options would be great.

The increased internal resolution is just awesome, I don't want to switch back to the original desmume.
