I recently downloaded dolfin and new super mario bros wii (I already own a legal copy from tops), but when I load the rom it gives me a black screen.
Can anybody help me with that?

Well considering that NSMB is a Wii game you should try loading a iso not a rom. :)

Dump your own iso from your legit game.
We don't support piracy.

What do you have for a rig and can your Cpu and Gfx card handle dolphin?

Um........
How do you dump and what are the technical specs for the cpu and gfx card?
Also I believe it is legal to download a game that you already own (I am pretty sure because it is legal to do that for older systems like nes and snes).
I still am interested in dumping, though.
I also ran the .iso file (I just called it a rom 'cause that's what I am used to calling it :) )

It is never legal to download games from the internet.

At the whole downloading bit: No and not unless you mean buying those games from the wii shop channel.
We can't and will never explain the dumping of roms, isos, or bios. GOOGLE.

To tell what your system has for cpu and gpu('s)
Open your control panel and go to system.

Required specs linked.

My proccesor is: AMD A6-4400M APU (It has 2.70 GHz)
I cannot find the gpu (s)
I use Windows 8, so my control pannel is slightly different then yours my be.

EDIT:
I got this problem with dolfin instead today, anyway this Is my GPU.

Somethings up with your drivers or configuration since I can confirm that Dolphin works acceptably with an A6 APU.

Video could be the most likely culprit. Also try installing this even if you think you already have it up to date.

Ok, that clears that out.

I guess you could next update video drivers?
