I cant keep current save when switching to usb

I want to put it on my usb to take to school but the save i have on my computer doesn't appear when i run the emulator off my flash drive. I coped the entire project64 folder to my flash drive so i thought it would also have my current save but it does not when i hit restore. Would really appreciate the help and if its not possible that's fine too.

Try the "Load Save" option.
I don't recommend playing video games at school, and as a School tax payer
I would have to say that gaming at school is an incredible waste of my hard earned money.
