I like to play project 64 using 360 controllers, via a microsoft wireless dongle. Unfortunately, this means that dead batteries / lack of preparation often means that all the controllers aren't on when I start the game.
N-Rage Input 2.3c works great with the 360 controllers -- except for the fact that XInput controllers must be connected before emulation starts, or they will remain disconnected forever. So... I patched N-Rage to allow hotplugging!
Beware, this plugin comes with no support, but I have tested it, and it works on win 7 64 on pj64 1.7. Also, beware that ALL XInput controllers will appear "connected" to PJ64 at all times -- meaning that you can't disonnect them from the n64 once you start, even if you wanted to.
