Does using emulators make you a console gamer?

Hey there, just thought it would be fun to ask this. So if you play console games on your PC with emulators does that count as PC gaming or console gaming?

Well, if you play these games with the combo Keyboard/Mouse, it may count as PC gaming

However your emulator recognizes your peripherals as actual game pads.

Oh I know this would be fun. But you get to play your games in HD resolution far beyond what a console can do doesn't that make it superior PC gaming?

I used to be a console gamer, but it's been some time since I owed a console, and most games I play on emulators feel odd when I play them on consoles. N64 games, for example. So, hmm, I'd say no, at least I don't feel like I'm a console gamer. Maybe a nostalgia gamer, but not a console one.
