[Linux] Mupen64plus - Glide64 Texture path

I'm using Arch Linux and I have installed mupen64plus.
I've been trying to run Zelda's Texture pack, but they are in a ".dat" format, I would like to know where do I save the .dat files?

Thank you in advance!

Instead of the hires_texture folder, you need to put those files in a folder named "cache".

The Glide64 version he is using probably does not support high resolution textures. You'll have to wait till Glide64mk2 (based on Glide Napalm) is ready together with GlideHQ.

You must either use a newer version of glide64 (also called glide64mk2)+place the dat file in the current folder or extract the textures from the dat file and use rice.

File locations are described here: http://code.google.com/p/mupen64plus/wiki/FileLocations

For example png/bmp/... files for "ZELDA MAJORA'S MASK" and "THE LEGEND OF ZELDA" have to placed in these folders

~/.local/share/mupen64plus/hires_texture/ZELDA MAJORA'S MASK/

~/.local/share/mupen64plus/hires_texture/THE LEGEND OF ZELDA/

Update: It seems you need special patches for rice to load the textures: http://www.paulscode.com/forum/index.php?topic=887.msg8489#msg8489
