Tried downloaded save states, but they wont work?

I understand that you need to change the directory, so I did, but the states wouldn't load

They were in .sra format, I tried to change it to the .pj format, nothing worked.

I got the save states from https://dl.dropbox.com/u/16494013/saves/n64/index.html
They seemed legitimate, and I know they have worked for other people.

Maybe it's the wrong format? I don't know.

    What can I do?

.sra indicates a native save, not a state.

I tried to rename it as a .zip and it shows up when I try to load it, but then on the bottom left corner it says "unable to load save state".

I don't know what to do, please help!

You don't change the extension. (Though now you should change it back to what it was originally.) Place the save in your emulator's save directory and simply run the game. You can then load the save via the game's built-in save loading mechanisms, as you would on the original console. For example, in Zelda OoT, one would press start to get past the title screen and then select from one of the three save files presented to them. That's how native saves work, as opposed to save states, which you load by using the emulator's menus.

Thanks! I guess I should have been more patient.

Thank you again and have a nice day!
