  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
    We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
    Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

    If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
    Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
    If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
    RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I cannot seem to find a way to use the texture pack from the Community Retexture project for Ocarina of Time and get them to work well with an emulator. I've tried PJ64 1.6 & 1.7 getting errors that won't let me load the game every time I try to load the textures with both Aristotle 6.1.9. and Glide64 . I then tried 1964 with the same plugins, Glide64 actually worked but had a very inconsistent framerate and Aristotle's Video Plugin 6.1.9. loaded the game but only audio seemed to work.

Can someone give me a hand and show me a foolproof way to get the texture pack to work with the game? My specs are: i5, Radeon 5850, 4GB DDR3 RAM.

I don't have any preferences. You can give all three a try and decide according to your preferences. The plugin works with all of them.
