    I just downloaded the emulator and it loads correctly, but I cannot do anything with it at all.

    Can someone walk me through how I set up the plugin to control the game???

    Or at least give me some pointers on what they use???

    please and thank you!!!

    How hard is it to configure the controls?

    Seriously, what's with people asking this all the time?

    Options->configure controller plugin
    Set the buttons by clicking the square to the right of the applicable control button... then press a key / joystick button / gamepad button...

    By default the emulator uses Jabo's Direct Input plugin, which is fine.
    If you have troubles switch to N-Rage's input plugin by going to Options->Settings, then select the relevant plugin under the Input select box.

    Setting the controls there is a VERY similar process.
    I honestly don't know how you can screw it up...

    Also, don't forget to read the GameFAQ that comes with Project64 (Help->GameFAQ)

    This game does not use the analogue stick, it uses the d-pad. Configure input plugin accordingly.

    No problem. If you have issues with the controls after configuring them... It's probably because you've made a few mistakes in your configuration.
    Just go and change the keys until you get something you're comfortable with.
