    Clean up the Index

I was poking around there are quiet a few forums on the index that, literally, haven't been used in YEARS.

After 4 years of being closed, I have to assume that the "Ask Imabot" forum will never re-open.

Additionally, some emulator projects like DreamEmu and whatnot have been abandoned by even their owner and remain un-touched for nearly 7 years.

Here's a list of barely active or completely inactive forums that, if removed from the Index, would speed up site navigation and improve the look of the site:

    Fake64
    SupraHLE
    UltraHLE Alpha
    DreamEmu
    NesterDC
    eVoodoo
    A.I. - Ask Imabot
    IRC Quotes

I can understand wanting to archive information, but if no one is using it, then after a while the information isn't archived, it's just sort of in the way - you know?

We are well aware of problems, unfortunately one needs to be at the reigns to fix them, and further more one needs to know where to fix them, and most importantly one has to have the time to fix them.

Can't really say more than that.

Though I can't, makes me wish I could hack an admin account here and try to fix it myself

That's really bad, because the only way to win at life is to get the high score, and I've already got a penalty this early on. If you don't have one of the top ten scores when you die, you can't enter your initials on the scoreboard.

If things are this bad here and the admin has deserted, why not start a new community?

I mean, I co-run plenty of sites and I could get a community for this stuff set-up overnight on a fast server.

Is there some particular reason for staying here?

Several. Huge amounts of stuff in old threads. A well known URL (around 15000 daily visitors). Old hats that drop in every now and then. The board itself works adequately. Nostalgia.

My reasons? The porn and roms forum is awesome, and the pictures of Marty naked forum, while a little weird at first, is pretty cool.

p.s. The above mentioned special forums are for hand-selected regulars only. Don't ask for admittance.

Well the forum isn't completely deserted by the owner, someone pays the server bills to keep the site up unless it's on life support from ad revenue which I doubt.

I don't know what is up with Martin or where he is, heck it would be nice to know what is going on..

Is any of the staff here able to see when Martin last logged on? In every other users profile you are able to see this information except in Martin's profile.

I agree that older forums should be archived. People new to the forum or N64 emulation in particular might get confused by all the old stuff, and wonder why SuperHLE doesn't run all their games.
