Input Plugin Error [project64 1.6]

How can i troubleshoot the error "input plugin failed to initialized"
Im using jabo direct input7 1.6
When i use n rage error " could not create direct input object. this plugin need direct x 8.0 to work"

i have my direct x v. 9.0 already

PC specs
Intel Dual Core 1.6
1G Ram
256mb VC



please help me
