Please, read the forum rules and FAQ before posting.
Q: Whoa, Dolphin is running as fast as a pregnant snail, what am I doing wrong?
A: The Nintendo Gamecube is a very advanced platform and (todays) computers are not fast enough yet to emulate it with the techniques we use. So... you aren't doing anything wrong! Upgrading a CPU or GPU won't gain you much more performance (you will only gain 1-5 fps). IF you decide to upgrade just besure to get a 64-bit CPU and a GPU which supports (at least) 2.0 pixelshaders.

Enable dual-core in the options menu and since you're using an ATI card, select the DX9 Dolphin Video Plugin instead of the OGL one.
Other than that there's nothing you can do.

you can always overclock your cpu if you feel up to it. I get an extra 5fps by overclocking from 1.8 to 2.2. But I think it may be that you have dualcore = false. Set dualcore = True in dolphin.ini and I bet you'll see a speed boost. Also get the very latest RVN.

The revisions are the snapshots of development of Dolphin. You've got 265, but the latest is 290 by now. They are hosted by a number of different people so you have to hunt around for them. Bookmark these sites:

no the latest 32bit is 290, I have it. I never use the directx plugin, it's pretty useless at the moment. Opengl is a lot better especially with Wind Waker.

The reason the DX plugin fails to load, is probably because of a compile error.

If i ever disagree with you, it is not because i´m trying to be an asshole. It is just to tell you that you are wrong
