    Question No Sound?

    Hey guys,

First of all, I have to congratulate the Dolphin team!
I'm really impressed with how advanced this emulator is.
I had no idea it was already running games with such compatibility!

I just have a couple of questions:

I'm trying version SVN R126 with Zelda Wind Waker, but receive no sound emulation. I have tried all 3 sound plugins (DSP-LLE renders an error),
with both 48000 and 44100hz with no success.

    Am I missing something?
Is sound emulation disabled in this version?
If so, which is the latest version to support sound?

BTW, I already installed the latest DX9 runtime.

    One last thing;
Is there a compatibility thread? Can't seem to find one in this forum or Dolphin's website, and the link in the FAQ is broken...

in this moment R253 is the last one, you can download it here:

    http://sb4hoa.bay.livefilestore.com/...hinWx_R253.exe

and the sound plugin is not perfect yet, ZWW. not has sound.

i recommend HLE plugin for the sound.

The Sound plugin cannot atm output sound on some games, even on the latest builds.
The DSP-LLE plugin is not "finished" and cannot be used yet, it might mostly be used to improve the DSP-HLE once the team got a good low level emulation.

Since gamecube's DSP isn't completly documented, it's hard to emulate, that's why sound is actually a problem.

    Thanks for the replies.

So its affirmative that Zelda WW has no sound emulation yet?
That's a shame, since the game is running incredibly smooth (~29-35 pfs ave.)

    How about that compatibility list?
    Is there an official one?

Paper Mario has sound and music with the latest revisions and the DSP_HLE plugin.

Can't figure out how to build Dolphin-emu anymore. So here's this instead: Free Microsoft points (and other crap) courtesy of Bing. Work the system!
