    Overriding Framerate caps

It seems that most N64 games are capped at 30fps, meaning they can dip below that framerate but will never exceed it. I was wondering if it's possible to bypass the caps and via a sort of simulated overclocking and get N64 games to run at butter-smooth framerates.

I've seen a limited example of this idea using a modified version of 1964. Any hope of seeing this kind of emulation feature for all N64 games?

That's an interesting idea. Whether or not it will work for a particular game depends upon how the game handles timing. If it gets all of its timing info from the vertical interrupt periods then it may be possible to smooth out the video by increasing the ratio between r4300 CPU clocks and vertical interrupts. There's probably not a single solution which would work for all games though.
