    Project64k video plugin crash

Hello, I'm trying to see if there's any fix for project64k, since it forces Jabo_Direct3D7.dll online, it crashes my pc at the end of the load, I've tried changing my desktop to 16bit with no avail, is there anything else I can do?

    Thanks.

You could try renaming a working video plugin to Jabo_Direct3D7.dll, but it might cause desynch when online since you'll most likely be using a different plugin from other players.

BTW, what kind of error did you get when you tried to use Jabo's D3D7?

Thanks for the response. Renaming seems to do nothing, as it still detects and forces to Jabo's D3D7 no matter what you name it.

I actually don't get any error, just a quick close by the application.

Take note that Project64K wasn't made by the Project64 developers. With that in mind, this topic is in the wrong place.

Regardless, it's known that PJ64K has a host of problems, most stemming from the fact that the emulator uses the the PJ64 1.4 core. PJ64K expects jabo_Direct3D7.dll, so many people have gotten the emulator working by simply renaming their favorite graphics plugin to Jabo_Direct3D7.dll.

Why that doesn't always work, well, your guess is just as good as mine.

Actually, this is the first time I've heard someone who renamed their Jabo's Direct3D7 to something else and renamed a working video plugin to Jabo_Direct3D7.dll, and PJ64K still loaded the Jabo's D3D7 plugin. This is even said on Pj64k readme, that when on Kaillera, PJ64k will load automatically the Jabo_Direct3D7.dll and AudioHLE.dll.

Maybe you just checked on the plugin list before going to Kaillera, since it loads the Jabo_Direct3D7.dll plugin when you open the Kaillera window, no matter what plugin you were using before doing that.
