What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

looking for zelda sword textures

Hi, my first post here. So i've been experimentig with texture modding lately. But Rice's Video Plugin 6.1.1 doesn't grab all the textures. I want Link to have some new swords, so can somebody upload some textures? Like master sword, biggorons sword, gilded sword or Oni Link's Bihelix one? Thanks a lot.

And hey look, its winter @ Kokiri!

welcome, ithat pic is looking pretty cool man.

The items do not have textures. The color is applied ingame, but the icons for the items do dump and are retexturable.

Good luck, Datadayne

Xenobond

The blades use the same reflection texture (I think) that the n64 logo uses on startup. The base of the swords do have some little textures on them, so they may take a sharp eye to find em.

Sorry for the slight bump, but I have a suggestion for you. You could change those little floating glowing orbs into snowflakes.

Thats a smart idea wwlink, very clever. And good find xenobond, must have taken a long time getting hand of those textures.

Driscol

annoying you for over a year!
if you have a folder full of link textures, they stand out, (sword textures of course, not snow)
EDIT: lol i just realised, mabye you should make a pack for making kokiri forest snowy, or or mabye even dodongos cavern! lol

Looks good, you might put a slight blue tint on the snow. The textures for the sword aren't really textures at all. They are a built-in assembly programming instruction that tells the game to read the "texture" from a special file that creates the shininess.
The textures for the handle of the swords are able to be obtained with Rice's Video plugin, or a program called ZLE2. ZLE2, unlike Rice's, allows you to write the textures directly to the ROM. You can use the Utility of Time to modify what the model of the sword looks like, or even look for something called spinout's obj2zobj converter and it has a little tutorial on how to add a file you make in a program such as Google Sketchup or 3ds Max etc... to Ocarina of Time.

Hey dude just letting you know the last post was in 2007, that was serious bump. I don't think ottokas even visits here as he only has one post. Try not to dig up old threads as it pushes more current ones down. Not trying to rip into you, it's your first post here. Thats some cool info about converting them into 3dmax and sketchup files tho. Anywho welcome to Emutalk.
