Black screen in Zero Gunner 2?

I've mounted ZG2 and tried to play it in Chankast as usual. The Sega intro displays normally, then the screen goes black and the framerate freezes. I managed to get all my other DC games to work properly and ZG2 is supposed to be compatible with Chankast, so why the black screen? Does ZG2 require any special configuration?

Is the Cable Type set to NTSC?

I tried VGA and NTSC with a black screen either way.
