Rice's Video Plugin has a frame update issue with Bomberman 64, causing a black screen throughout much of the game. Direct64 and glN64 fail at their attempts of hardware frame buffer emulation. Complete emulation of this effect is necessary.
You may just have to install the Glide64 graphics plugin. It comes with Mupen64, but if you want to install the latest version, you may want to install it manually from this site.
