If you downloaded the RAR, you need a program that will open RAR archives. If you downloaded the ZIP, you'll need a program that can open ZIP archives (your operating system has one built-in if you're running Windows XP). 7-Zip will unpack both formats (though there are dozens, if not hundreds of other programs that will as well).

lol... you don't know how to unzip/rar an archive but you know what an emulator is... hmm...

I don't mean to sound like a heartless bastard, but you should really know how to work with compressed archives and files in general before you tackle something like emulation.
