    Adaptoid help with PJ64

I just ordered one of the new run of Adaptiods, and mine arrived yesterday, but it just doesn't seem to work with Project64.

My PC, which runs on Windows XP, detects the Adaptoid itself perfectly, and so does the Adaptoid Configuator which I've installed, but when I open Project64 and select 'Adaptoid' in the Controller Settings section, when I load up a game, nothing happens when I press buttons or move around the analogue stick.

I doubt it is a problem with the Adaptoid itself as everything responds when I calibrate the analogue stick in the Control Panel settings.

What must I still do to get it working with PJ64?

Sigh, not the torrent of replies I expected...thanks for replying anyway axcc123.

Yes, I've set all the buttons up, they are all detected via the Windows Game controllers Control Panel box. And I can select 'Adaptoid' from the Controller Settings of Project 64, obviously that detects it as well. It's just that I get no response when I use the controller in-game.

Um, instead of selecting Adaptoid, see if something in "gamepads" is there. Choose the N64 one if it's there. Then, when you set button A press A on your N64 controller. Do that for all of them.

Also, try using either N-Rage's DirectInput v2.00 1.83 plugin or N-Rage's DirectInput v2.00 2.00 plugin.

Ah, thanks very much. I realised that when I selected 'Adaptoid', I had to manually press all the buttons on the connected N64 gamepad itself to make it work, they were all assigned to keyboard buttons.

    Problem solved, thanks again!
