    Wierd graphics problem...

Ok, so not too long ago I was like "hey wouldn't it be cool if I could play some old N64 stuff like I did in the good ol days?" So I went online, downloaded the newest PJ64 (Version 1.6). And "wow.. it works!!" Every game, just awesome, and I sat for hours. Couple of days later, I told my friend about it, and he was like "sounds tight", so he downloaded it too. And I was like "DUDE! What if we linked our games through our puters?!" (I live in USA, he lives in Norway).

He looked into it, and he said "Hey man, you should download Project64k, an emulator that links through the Kaillera network!" So I downloaded it, and overwrote my files, and was really excited. And then the worse sound Windows ever created.

"DING: Graphics Error: Direct3D failed to initialize
Error Code: 8876017CD3DERR_OUT OF VIDEO MEMORY"

I hit ok, and once again it totured me...

"DING: Error: Failed to Initilize Graphics"

Every time I start it, it says that. If I start a game, it says that, and then it performs an illigal operation and is forced to shut down...

I've tried using all of the different Jabo plugins, Direct3d 6, 7 and 8.

I noticed that once I start it, the top of the window says "Project64k Version 0.13 Core 1.4" and NOT 1.6 which was what I downloaded at the first place.

    I have a Ati Radeon X800XL 256mb gddr3 --- AGP 8x/4x.

Any more details you need? Help is appreciated.

    Thanks

    ----------------------------------

EDIT: After some research, I found out that running v1.6 with Jabo_Direct3D8 for v1.6 works fine. But the other ones dont. And since I'm running 1.4 now Jabo_Direct3D8.dll for 1.6 doesn't work.

Solution: Does Jabo_Direct3D8.dll for v1.4 exist?

simple problem that fixed my friend too... don't change plugins on pj64k because it will make games desync more often if plugins didnt match. Then change ur color for your monitor from 32bit color to 16 bit color just for the emulator and it will not give that error message anymore. Don't know why but thats what my friend and I found in a FAQ and it fixed it.
