Aerofighters Assault Problem

For the first few days, it ran about close to perfect. One day I used cheats, and now when I start it there's a popping sound and the backround music is gone. Can anyone possibly explain the problem?

then don't use cheats, they are for ppl who know how to use

Is there any way it can be fixed? I tryed changing plugins, using different emulators, and still nothing.
