help!

ive been having problems with 1964 =/
with almost every rom, and i know for a fact its not my specs. i mainly just wanted yoshi story, and then i stumbled upon the cell shaded OOT rom/mod and a lot of other things.

but
in short
i dont know whats wrong with it. i have the plugin "rice video 5.4.3b"
maybe im just not setting everything correctly? i dont know....

id also like to know how exactly im supposed to open the zelda rom, while using the mod on it.

any help is appreciated, sorry if i sound like an obnoxious n00b

when i set my graphics to direct x instead of open gl, it says "cannot intilize sx8" and then it says theres a runtime error, and i dont understand that at all
it has to do with direct x doesnt it...? if so, i have direct x 9
