I have tried to add alot of codes to super mario 64, but whenever i enter a new cheat and turn it on, it never works. I havent tried to put new cheats on any other games though.

Maybe they're fake, or not for the regional version of the game you are using

I have made sure they are officiall, I've tried codes from several different websites too...
Basically all I do is make a new code, put it the code, and name it. But when i turn it on, it wont work...

and have you checked in the project64.chm manual on the Cheat Help/Cheats FAQ Section or the http://www.pj64cheats.net/cheatfaq.htm to see if the codes you are trying to add are supported?
