noob humbley asks for help :D

i am a complete twazzock when it comes to sorting out emulators and am therefore begging the mighty experienced members of this board to help me sort out a few roms.

i downloaded pj64 1.6 which is far superior to its predecessor 1.5 especially as i no longer have to try and play madden 99 and fifa 'road to the world cup 98' in incredibly slow time....however there are a couple of problems still with these two roms.

problems with madden;

pitches have white zig zagged patches on them
the down button doesnt work properly...i.e. it goes down if you press it really gently, which sucks when your being a quarterback trying to get space for a pass....

problems with fifa;

from being incredibly slow at times on 1.5 it is now seemingly a little fast on 1.6
it still has a similar problem with the pitch as madden....i.e. during a day game areas of the pitch look like the sky


any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.....but i must stress (aka buttlick) how great pj 64 is.
