Dual USB to PS2 controller

I just got a dual usb to ps2 controller, it works great, except when I select nrage plugin, devices, and under devices it says dual usb controller 1, so when I want to play a two player game, the second tab, for the second controller, when I select dual usb controller 2, project 64 just crashes! This is a very annoying and strange problem. If I select usb controller 1 for both, the one controller simply controls two players, so I really would like to know what the problem is.

I am not sure what you mean by default input plugin? Do you mean jabo's?

If so when I try select default input plugin two for that plugin, it crashes right away when i select it, nrage crashes when I launch the game.

ALso the jabo plugin, does not seem to work with the joystick, it wont detect left or right motions, but nrage works fine, i just cant get two controllers working.

interesting, i will try with a Super Dual Box (different product, similar function) later.. sounds like an emu problem... a new one to me.


edit: ok, jabo's works fine with my Super Dual Box ("MP-8866 Dual USB Joypad"). i can only think your device breaks a rule of DirectInput, or something we haven't thought of, we'd probably have to have one to find out.. i'll have a think about this. we need to know exact specs of the device.

how do you know left and right don't work if it crashes when you select it?

I solved the issue, uninstalled driver.

The driver for the controller came on a gamecube size disc, so I went the website and downloaded the exact driver.

Regardless, I didnt like the ps2 with project64, so I ordered a super joy box for xbox, which works great.
