    Ripping music for better performance

I was wondering if there's a way to rip the music for getting better fps. I did use long time ago CDMage to rip music from psx images, however CDMage doesn't read DC files so I don't know how can it be done, have anyone tried? I couldn't find any threads about this on a search.

I dont see how that would help?
No Music would increase readtime. But i dont think its bottlenecking on the readtimes; and for the most part- there is no music in chanka, just looping sounds

My experience comes from fpse and fpsece on Pocket PC, and it did give some fps. The less work for the emu the better, and at least to be able to try it would harm no one until we get a new, improved version.
