Thumbs down Why must you vote for ROM sites???

Why do ROM sites make you vote for sites (three times!). I mean, like, I hate having to do it... the only ROMs you actually 'need' to do it for are the newer systems though (psx, ps2, n64, xbox), but it always tells me "the severs down" or something... whats up with that also?

Well, like, I don't pay anything to them and the ROMs that they upload work, so there not really "scamming" anyone are they?

If you don't like it, go search them somewhere else.

Every click (vote) installs an additional 17 spyware apps on your system.

Hahaha, from my experience those sites are completely clean and legit. I've never had a problem with spyware or any of that scum, maggot, invasion of my privacy crap, from those sites. Infact, I've had nothing but good experiences from their communities and easy to use ROM robbing interface. (um, of course, I only d/l the ROMs of games that I own... for backup, heh)

if you still think that, 99% of those site are simply fake shit, they just need you to get there, then click a bunch of ads, they get a little $ for each clicks you do, thing that makes them get money, to keep them up and get some (or a lot) of profit, then get more people to go on their site, and increase the clicks rate, and get more money and shit. If you still think those are clean and legit, then go there only if you need to look for porn stuff or other crap to buy.

hehe, maybe...

There are far better ways to acquire one's contraband though. No voting necessary.

you only need to vote for getting n64, PSx, PS2, ect. games, which I never get from there anyway. But its startin' to become slim pickins out there on the net when it comes to copyright materials... The major torrent sites that I knew about are almost all gone... and the ones that are up usually end up having trackers that are down.
Pretty soon the FDA (I think thats the organization I'm thinkin' of: They have jurisdiction over various media systems like TV broadcasts, advertising?) is going to be governing the internet, making it a bloody police state. I mean, the internet is an awesome incarnation of the right of free speech, the right to share ideas (heh, and files), and the right to be disturbingly perverted... all rolled into one! (I'm not one of the perverted people out there, but there are MANY... horse sex video's???? wtf is the matter with some people?!) If we allow government imperializm into every facet of our lives like we are doing (by not being proactive against it) then we will become no better than a shitty communist society.
I mean, democracy is already a sham as it is; case and point >> I'm absolutely positive that I wont get to vote on social security reform, but its still gonna happen and totally screw anyone under 40. Like, I have enough to worry about with my life already, with bills and everything, but now I'm going to have to invest in shit and have the possibility of no return???

Anyway, I'd like to preach more, but I just remembered this is a emulator forum, and I've just been ranting, so I'll stop now lol... but seriously, we have a right to share files, get our opinions taken seriously, and show friends the sickest shit ever to be put in digital format (quiver)
