    GeForce FX 5200

Okay, everybody knows it is a cheap board , but it is the one i can afford.
Now, to the task at hand, wich driver you guys believe is the best, noting that in my case it is a 128bit 256 Meg card.
I am using 61.77 and I´ve been thinking on updating it to 66.93 or newer.
    Any thoughts?

I use the 66.93 (official) for my GFX5700, I don't want to use beta drivers anymore since I've got some problems with some games, like for flatout, constant XP blue screen...

if you take beta drivers, use them at your own risk...

also, always try to update to the most recent, since it can fix bugs or add performance.

Well for the results of testing on Doom3:

    61.77 26.5 fps (timedemo demo1 usecache)
    66.93 20.3 fps
Omega 61.77 26.5, but flicker as hell.

rcgamer, is your board an FX 5200?

yes i flashed it to 5500 (just for the hell of it , you get 20 more mhz as your base speed). but it is a 5200. make sure you use driver cleaner whenever you uninstall your old drivers.

I'd recommend updating to the newest drivers, to be honest. My card doesn't even work properly on anything less than 66.93.

The Asus 5200 128MB 128-bit in my second rig runs great with the latest on nVidia's site currently.. runs HL-2 and D3 like a dream, haven't seen an issue.

no, if you do it incorrectly you could make your card fubar. like i said its just a 20mhz more as a base speed. i still oc it to 310. use nvtweak and you can get up to 280 with the optimized settings.
