Good compilations of old games

I've seen very few good compilations released for next-gen consoles as of late. The only good ones I can think of are Sonic Mega Collection and Mega Man AC. Why don't they make a Final Fantasy collection? Not just FFI and II, or V; but I, II, III, IV, V, and VI? It can't be THAT hard, can it!? The GCN, for instance, can emulate games to a perfect level, especially OoT. At least they should add Chrono Trigger to a compilation. I figure if Square Enix did this, as a Gamecube exclusive game, that'd really help Nintendo and their system. But no! They could care less about making one, because all third parties do is make 90% of their compilations (if any) based on a non-RPG series. Look at Chrono Resurrection, that would've been a cool game, but Square Enix screwed the group over and are obviously not intelligent enough to say "Hey! I've a good idea, let's make that game!" But no, the say "It was an illegally made game, so let's just forget about it." That's the way I feel right now.

Most of those games mentioned were re-released for the PSX, were they not?

yeah, i think it was called final fantasy anthologies but not sure.

ah, no that just had 5 and 6. origins had the earlier one.

Yah, Anthologies and Origins and another one, forgot the name but I got it in my collection somewhere. They bundled two of the old games together and added some insulting FHM sequences... Whoops, I mean FMV. You see that opening video of Rosa, the mouthless blob-head?

Anyway, don't know the point of this post, just ranting. =:-| I might buy a GC because the Sonic Collection seems pretty cool, especially the remakes of the Dreamcast Sonic.

I recon it would be nice, i'd definatley buy it if it were to come out, i'm a massive FF fan myself, FF7 is legendary when there was a roumour around about a remake, shame it it turned out to be a movie. I doubt a collection would be released though which is a shame. I dunno though, i'm starting to have quite a negative opinion on square/enix now after the chrono trigger remake was cancelled just because it was professional.

Whoops. Sorry about that. Just hate it when they should make FF comps with more than I and II in it. Chrono Trigger would be nice, too.

It would be cool if they made like "Ultima Square Collection" or something of that sort, but uh, I dunno how successfull they would be seeing as most of those games are ripe for the picking online.
Chrono Trigger was an awsome game, its too bad 'Resurection' didn't turn out. And Final Fantasy VII, I mean, that's the game that got me (and my best bud) into RPG's: We started it at the same time... thats the way to go when playing awsome RPG's, do it with a friend, have some competition goin on, I remember maxin out all my characters, gettin all the materia, man.. that was insane, I actually had 99:99 for the time. Over 100 hours I played on that game! God. Suprisingly I actually had a 'life' while this was going on. That brings me way back... I'm ranting now, lol... I'll stop.
Oh, Diablo on PSX, 2-Player, that brings me back to the day also. Goin out, gettin munchies, then playin that all night: That was our weed back then, it was like video crack, hmmm, Socom 1 and 2 is our crack now, cook up some bud while your at, you got yourself a party.
Hmm, enough ranting for now lol.

Chronicles? It has FFII and Chrono Trigger

The only problem with it is that the menu is sooo slow to load (only for chrono trigger)
