    Netplay Problems

I recently got cable (and deleted AOHell ) but I can'r seem to get the PJ64k netplay working well. I've managed to start games but I encounter various problems after that.I suppose I should post some of my specs.

32MB DDR NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS (Dell)
    256MB RAM
    Windows ME (yes, I know)

    and HERE are my pings.

What games are you trying to play? Also make sure you are not running AIM or any p2p programs. 1964 is also a good alternative for netplay.

i wrote a guide about netplay ^^. U can find it in the netplay discussion, in the 1964 board or by clicking my link. Its for 1964 but it may also work for pj64k too

I've had this computer for years. Believe me, I'm used to saving RAM. Also, I can't get any sound using 1964. Looks like I might have to wait untill I can build my new computer.

    thx, I'll try that.

oh, and I can't test 1964 netplay because I seem to be the only one there using it.

so... does anyone feel like playing a N64 game online? PJ64 and 1964 should be set up correctly now, but nobody is ever online. The source of the problem is most likely windows, so I doubt I'll ever get it working but I have no way of knowing without attempting to play a game.

orrrrr... maybe I'm trying to use version 1.2 instead of 1.3 because I assumed the download section here was updated. It works now, but I've lost all trust in the emulator forum.

    i think you re talking about pj64 v.1.2 ... why dont u try the newest version(v.1.5) ?
Personally i went to 1964emu because i got to much problems with project 64 but its on my HDD too. I ll test some games with it if 1964 wont show it correctly but most of my games working fine on 1964.

Btw. that is a problem to find some people in the internet for playing n64.
An IRC channel would be nice but i dont know much about it.
Maybe sometime somebody come and setup one so we would have a place where all people can meet at.

Not sure what you mean. I had 1.2, I got 1.3, and now it's working great.

speeking of IRC, what is the server that all those quotes are from?

I just didn't know the server was irc.efnet.nl, thx anyway. It appears that I have been banned, so it really doesn't matter. I'm still unsure as to why though.
