Question How can I play Street Fighter Alpha 3 and X-Men vs Street Fighter online?

I've got MAME working beautifully, and my controller is working fine. Now I'm just looking for some competition. I have a few members from another forum all ready to play these 2 games, but first we need to figure out how to get them working online.

I've been at kaillera.com for hours and their forum is close to a wasteland. That program loads MAME32 and freezes when you try to locate networks.

Can someone give me some useful information?

    Thanks,
    Justice

    If mame, how so?

    Thanks again

If Mame32k starts acting up during the server list refresh, cancel it immediately. That's will stop it from crashing. Then just check your favorites tab for recent server's you visited.

    thanks.. one last question.

how do I play using my controller on Mame32k? In regular MAME, I just enter "mame gametitle -joystick" in the command prompt, and it loads recognizing my joystick. In Mame32k, I have no way of changing that. Any suggestions?

This is the first I've heard of winkawks. 3 questions...

    1) When you say it's inferior to MAME, in what way? Does it freeze or have any glitches?

    2) What games do you play online for it?

    3) If it's Xmen vs SF or SFA3, would you like to play me?

    1) winkawks "only" emualtes AFAIK : CPS2 , CPS1 and nego MAME emualates a LOT more
    2) S F A 3 Street Fighter Alpha 3 and sometimes also Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo
    3) YES!
But theres a quite serious problem as i wrote above i´m from europe and your properbly from the USA?
even with FAST ( fast here does not mean big bandwidth like T1 or T3, but the ping!)
connections i get from here to USA only pings arround 100 and thats not really enough to play a decent game.
But anyway i wanna try a match aganist you
for this time the conditions should be not so important
i hope you got a DSL or cable Internet connection , 56k modem is sadly quite impossible to play online with.
ok then lets have a game, do you have some IRC clinet? so we can discuss the details of match and meeting?
say a server , channel and a time and i ´ll try to be there
    cya ther!

I'm curious what type of lag we'll be facing, but I do have a cable connection.

I'm still trying to figure this server stuff out. Do you have instant messenger (aim or msn)? If so, can you PM me your screen name and we can set something up.
