Looking for a Rumble Pak

I was looking for a Rumble Pak, and I found this strange one:

I think is strange due to the fact it doesn't require batteries... so I'm just wondering... is this possible? if works? how it works? it is good or not?

I'm also was wondering...the Rumble Pak function is supported just in emulations or in all games when you are using an adaptoid?

I've never used this Rumble Pak, but i have a Datel Shockwave pak (rumble and memory combined) and that doesn't require batteries either, it works very well by drawing power from the controller (has an LED display and everything), although some of the lower level rumbles can be a bit feint from time to time.

As for the adaptoid-ness, as long as the adaptoids drivers support rumble-feature through Direct Input (I think its Direct Input) then it should be fine. I use a PSX to USB convertor and all N64 and PSX controller plugins that support rumble-feature work fine, my other rumbling games work fine as well like Need For Speed.

Maybe someone with a N64-Adaptoid can verify this.

For PSX (don't have an N64&Adaptoid, yet) I use the adapter from RadioShack, works just fine and comes with drivers to support rumble.
