Which one is the best NES Emu?

I went back to using FCEUX because Nestopia's controller support resets buttons to nothing when removing a controller mid game. I just use external shaders for filtering. Would be nice for an NES emulator that supports hotplugging though.

Nestopia for accuracy, FCEUX for features and HDnes for High Resolution Sprite Packs.

That's what I mean by accuracy, that it plays the most games like the real NES.

Guess I better switch over to Nestopia then. I downloaded FCEUX just because the project seemed more active which I usually equate with "better".

Wonder why puNES didn't get mentioned?

Well here it is:

According to the NES accuracy tests at TASVideos, puNES has the highest accuracy grade. by 92.4%
http://tasvideos.org/EmulatorResources/NESAccuracyTests.html

People always say to me, you can't go by that numbers just because it passed a lot of test ROMS.
I always wonder why though, why I shouldn't do that because people doesn't seem to be caring about the numbers for Gambatte and bsnes/higan whenever they are brought up.

Why is puNES so hated whenever someone recommends/mention it? Is it because it's closed source or what?

puNES is an excellent NES/Famicom/Famicom DIsk System emulator, but for some reason using it is like you got the plague or something.

I got no problems with puNES and the emulation for all the games I have is accurate enough.

Give it a fair chance.
