    No MAME?

What's up with the total lack of serious MAME coverage around here?

Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but what's going on?

There's potentially thousands of games to be discussed...

yeah i have been surprised by the lack of mame talk here too. though this forum is obviously more geared for the n64. besides it gets to be a pain in the ass keeping up with all the updatesw for mame. hell 3 months ago it was at version 78 now its up to 81u5. I did my own compile with 78 and decided to stick with it.

Hah, screw the updates! But yeah, I understand the 64 orientation here and all, I just assumed with it being open to other emulation too that MAME would get a look in but...

    ... ah well.

Really there should be a dedicated 'Arcade Emulation' forum where emus like MAME, Kawaks, Nebula et al could be discussed, as it's such a major aspect that lumping it in the Other Emulation Discussion seems a little bit inadequate. Just don't ask me for help there since I know nothing about arcade emulation at all!

That was what I was thinking, some sort of arcade forum. Of course apparently martin's got exams coming up so he isn't doing anything major forum-wise until afterwards :-(

I was playing Flying Shark earlier on MAME though, and christ.. it is literally the hardest game I have ever played, without question.

There really should be SOME KIND of arcade board on here, Arcade emulation is a great thing, I'm getting my MAME back up to snuff after losing my game drive a couple of months ago, MAME is such a wonderful thing.

Hey, I wouldn't mind for an Arcade oriented board.
