I'm sorry to say that I don't fully understand these uninstalls. I must say that I've got so many of the Rice plugins, I don't know for sure what this means for the performance of the latest version, or if having old ones in my folder is affecting performance. I just don't understand this registry stuff. I'm wondering why the clearing of the registry is important and should every other version of Rice's plugin be deleted from my folders? Thanks any help is apprecitated.
The idea behind it is in the past users have experienced issues from using a new version of the video plug until they went into windows Regedit and removed the previous. Also when updating GFX drivers sometimes a video plugin could take a hit and recoveres from removing it from the reg (uninstall) and re-configing. Also any Video update is generally an improvement to the last so its always best to grab the latest release. (unless stated beta which is up to you if you wish to try and relay any issues)
I hope this clears it up for you GE.
I need a way to uninstall 1964 0.99 off of Windows Vista. Does anyone know how to edit the Regestry for Vista?
