F|RES, ector and schibo, the previously anonymous authors of the GameCube emulator Dolphin that's been exclusively covered by us here at Emulation64 for quite some time, has released a teaser version for you to enjoy. Teaser?

TEASER means that this is just a public preview of what we have been working on on and off the last 7 months. Do not expect to play any games to completion, there is no saving support, etc. We're not guaranteeing that it will run on your computer or that anything will work at all. If it does, good for you, have fun :)

Please read above notes once again. And here are the official release notes:

Yes that's right,

We've finally released what we've been working on in our spare time the last seven months. Dolphin is an experimental GameCube emulator that so far runs quite a few games somewhat, but most are pretty slow. Keep in mind that this release is just a preview, if it works good for you, if it doesn't please don't cry too much in the forum!

Have fun!

Recommended games to try (of course your own ripped GCMs of your legally bought discs):
Bust-a-Move 3000 (fully playable)
Crazy Taxi (slow, gfx glitches)
Zelda (slow, gfx glitches)
Mario (slow, gfx glitches)
18 Wheeler (slow, gfx glitches)
Ikaruga (slow, gfx glitches, crashes after four waves, but still cool)
and more..

Big congrats to our good friends F|RES, ector and schibo!

Head over to the official site at http://www.dolphin-emu.com to grab the release, and to check out the screenshots, there is a ton of them! A 26 MB video has been released as well, so be sure to check that out. :D

Please leave your feedback at the Dolphin forum, as it's the only way the authors wish to be contacted. :)

EDIT: Some extra screenshots can be viewed here.
